High-Quality Curricular Materials Concern Form Logo
  • High-Quality Curricular Materials (HQCM) Concern Form

Pursuant to state statute, the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) creates and annually revises a High-Quality Curricular Materials (HQCM) advisory list to support schools in the implementation of literacy instruction aligned with science of reading and curricula for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. IDOE also reviews comprehensive curricular materials supporting each domain of the Early Learning Standards.

Curricular materials on the state's HQCM lists must meet legislative requirements and should be reviewed locally for age appropriateness and alignment with community standards prior to adoption and implementation. The below steps outline how concerns with the content of curricular materials on the HQCM lists can be reported:

Step 1: Concerns should be reported through the school or district’s locally-established process.

Step 2: Following this local process, this content can also be reported to IDOE using the form below. Any reported concerns will be reviewed along with the corresponding curricular materials and adjustments will be considered to the HQCM list.
